Design of Two-Axial Actuator for Controlled Vibration Damper for Large Rams

چکیده

Machine tool rams are important constructional elements found on vertical lathes as well many other machines. In most cases, a machine ram constitutes an assembly with significant dynamic compliance that affects the machine’s ability to achieve stable cutting conditions. There various solutions for increasing ram’s stiffness and damping. This paper describes innovative concept of two-axial electromagnetic actuator controlled vibration dampers high force values. The described solution is purposefully based use standard electric drives. As result, size easier scale required application. designed spacer between end head. presents concept, construction design, current control loop experimental verification damper’s function test in detail. presented position measurement will enable non-contact sensors motor commutation possible suppression control. Applications can be expected mainly field large tools.
